Proverbs 15:8-9 KJV
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord : but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

[9] The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the Lord : but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.

I know a prominent man in a certain church in my neighbourhood who gave much money during fundraising activities. Nobody was able to tell me where he worked or what work he did, when I asked. One day a pastor asked me to go pick up a donation from his house.

I found out he was an online fraudster, while he thought I was too young to perceive that.
I have heard many times of stories of robbers who pray to God for success before embarking on any robbery operation.

All of these acts and gestures of charity of the wicked never move the heart of God. In fact, like Solomon put it, they are an abomination unto Him. God is not man and so cannot be bought.

In one of Idikoko’s (a local comedian) movies he said “you cannot go to heaven with a stolen Bible.” We may win the affection of many, but we do not fool the Papa Himself.
He wants you to give, but give what is genuinely yours.
