Psalm 121:6-7 KJV
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

[7] The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

In my opinion, Psalm 121 is one of the very popular psalms in our time. I heard it sang the first time at Adomfie, Kumasi, sometime in 2003, and it had such an effect on me.

As I meditated on verse 7 today, I thought about some preservation methods for fish, like drying, frying, freezing and smoking. None of these extreme conditions are pleasant to the fish, but alas, the same conditions make the fish good for a longer period of time.

Same way the Master may adopt extreme conditions that may not be tolerable for us, but have the ultimate objective of preserving us… preserving our souls.

Let us not be too quick to dismiss our daily experiences and call the day a bad one. Who knows, they may all be part of His preservation tactics.
