Psalm 112:1 KJV
Praise ye the Lord . Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord , that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
I joined the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in October 2003 when I was a freshman in the KNUST. About 12 years down the line, I still remember the theme for that particular semester, “Behold, The statutes of the Lord, shall we compromise.”
As I read these verses of Psalm 112, I reminisced a couple of the sessions of exposition on the same theme.
King David had figured all these out and experienced them, and that is why he could easily talk about them.
He knew the consequences of compromising to the statutes of the Lord, so he declares “wealth and riches shall be in his house…” (verse 3).
He adds in verse 4, “To the upright, light arises even in the darkness..” Very encouraging news for he who believes.
It is my prayer that we all strive to be consistent in keeping to His statutes. Inconsistency is one of our biggest challenges, and it is my prayer that you make that personal resolve to be consistent in your walk with Him.
Have a blessed day.
