Psalm 58:3 KJV
The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
My first reaction when I read this verse was that of laughter. What a way to describe the wicked. But after a little more meditation I thought the writer could be right.
Why should he say the wicked go astray soon as they are born, speaking lies? I want to believe the writer used this expression to symbolise how early and quickly such ill-yearnings appeal to the wicked.
Generally, their tendencies are borne early enough to incite and urge them on, though sometimes this could be through no fault of theirs.
Fast forward to post-Jesus era, it might interest you to know that the scriptures refer to those not in the Lord as wicked!
So that even if we seem to be good people but are not in Him, we share the same fate with the wicked, those described in Psalm 58. This is why it is your responsibility to talk to your friend about Jesus. Only the wicked shall perish in the end, so make an effort to snatch yet another out of the Lake and stay out of it yourself.
Have a blessed day.
