Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
When I was a JSS pupil, I had a teacher called Mr. Nyame, who’d almost always quote this scripture in all of his prayers. He always sought to re-assure us of God’s love for us and how that love was indestructible or unchangeable.
Later in Senior Secondary School when I first chanced upon this in the Bible, I even discovered that there was more to it. (see v3-5). No wonder in v7 & 11, the text is repeated.
The rest God gives, unlike what you may ‘pay’ so much for elsewhere, is ABSOLUTE!
Most of us have made God too small in our eyes so are unable to come to this reality.
My dictionary defines Refuge as a shelter from danger or hardship. If God is purporting to be this, then you who believe in Him must really know that not even your country’s economy can snatch you out of His safe hands 👐 . Enjoy His refuge!
