Psalm 31:13, 18 KJV
For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.

[18] Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

In my opinion, one of the powerful weapons the enemy is using against the church is lies or slander. I hate to say that he has achieved some results with this.

Even in the church, there are too many lies than one can bear these days. I speak about no particular denomination, I make reference only to the body of Christ,  the universal church. Slander and lies against fellow members only corrupts the church and ruins hard earned reputation.

Jesus said that, “he who gathers not with me scattereth abroad.” So if you succeed in peddling lies among fellow Christians you only make yourself an enemy to Christ. You are scattering what He has gathered!!!

Be wise, identify peddlers of ‘filla’ about others in the church and rebuke them when they come to you, for this is scriptural! Don’t make your head a storehouse for slander, they only make you an accomplice to the demise of another.
