Psalm 17:3 KJV
Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.

One time when I was a kid I asked a much older friend why we needed to pray before sleeping. I really didn’t understand why one needed protection.

This gentleman then told me about forces that operate in the night and what damage they could do. In fact, he left me rather afraid than educated!

There indeed is some form of visitation when we sleep. Either invited or uninvited, either good or evil. And these manifest in one form or the other later. I’ve heard tales of people who woke up and were suddenly blind! Some woke up saw breakthroughs in their businesses.

Whatever it is, a lot happens in our sleep and that is why we need heavenly visitation each night. Never go to bed without inviting Him to visit, perhaps, something or someone else may do that, and the end results may not be in your favour.
