Psalm 14:2-3 KJV
The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
[3] They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
I felt so ashamed when I read this Psalm today. I took a look at myself and how much I had drifted away from the basics of my Christian teachings and how far I had veered into secularism and godlessness.
The opening verse of Psalm 14 is well known by many; “The fool has said in his heart that there is no God…” But actually being foolish is being corrupt and doing things that are abominable in His sight, as the subsequent verses state.
Indifference and a lackluster attitude towards the things of God is equal to total disbelief in God. So that, we who are sinful, fall on the same level with those who claim there’s no God, of course except we re-course back to Him.
Let’s prove to the world, especially our immediate neighbours that there is a God, not by words alone, but by living Godly lives. I promise to do this henceforth. Are you with me?
Have a blessed rainy day! 😉
