Job 36:2-4 KJV
Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God’s behalf.
[3] I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
[4] For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.
Can anyone truly act or speak on God’s behalf without His permission? Well, this question has bothered me for a long while because countless times, I have heard people speak for God as though He gave them a sure word.
I don’t despise prophesy, neither do I doubt that God can speak directly to whoever He chooses to. But when almost every statement in one man submissions seem to go like “God says…” I left to nothing but wonder.
Apparently, God is speaking to more people than we know. Should the believer be able to differentiate between words resulting from the speaker’s emotions rather than a directive from God?
Many men of God abound in our days than any other generation, so we need to be extra cautious of what we take in…2 Pet 1:19-21.
Holy men of God will only speak as moved by the Holy Spirit and not by personal emotions. God doesn’t need any man to defend or protect Him.
Let’s guard our hearts with all diligence.
Have a blessed day
