…Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.

An old wise saying goes like this: He who fights for equity MUST come with clean hands.
Athaliah, had ascended the throne through very very foul means.

Yet when she realized she had lost it in a similar manner, though less bloody, she thought it treason.
Indeed, she was right, it was treason! But did she have the right to make such a claim? No not at all.

God is an EXPERT at dishing out a harvest of what you have sown to you. Irrespective of your religious affiliations, you are usually a result of what you sowed. Of course there are exceptions.

But note that consequences are usually almost irreversible or irrevocable. Beware of your ownselves and the seeds you sow, for in due time you might be reaping a bumper.
