2 Chronicles 18:23-24 KJV
Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the Lord from me to speak unto thee?
[24] And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see on that day when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.
I still remember the caption I gave to my reflections on this when we read this text sometime last year.

Zedekiah, one of the chief prophets of the time was not so pleased that another prophet had dismissed his prophesy in such a casual way. Pay attention to his remark and his physical reaction in v23.
We all know how it feels when another dismisses your claim, especially when you are convinced about it. Micaiah’s response to Zedekiah in v24 today admonishes us to exercise a lot of restraint in such situations when we feel slighted.
Time has a way of revealing truths. Your claim may be the truth, but painful as it may seem, you might just have to hang in out there a little longer for Time to tell. Patience should be our forte!
Have a blessed day.
