FURNISHING & FINISHING – Thu, Feb 05, 2015

???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????2 Chronicles 4:11 KJV
And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basons. And Huram finished the work that he was to make for king Solomon for the house of God;

A lot of people are usually excited about starting and doing new things with the coming of every new year. These projects could be related to academia, raising a family, starting a business, etc.

But oft times the excitement about beginning these is not equal to the excitement in finishing them. I lost count of the number of uncompleted houses in my neighbourhood at a point. I started a masters programme that never ended. The list goes on!!!

I believe there’s greater joy in finishing a thing than starting the same (Eccl 7:8). Huram and King Solomon eventually finished the temple of God, furnishing it in a way that made it the grandest ediface of their time.

God is the Alpha and Omega, and until we can make that translate even in the physical, we might end up moving in circles. Do well to commit whatever you start into his hands and expect a better finish to His glory.

Have a blessed day.
