2 Samuel 3:6 KJV
And it came to pass, while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul.
After Saul’s death, one would not expect David to have an easy and smooth transition to the throne, especially when one of Saul’s sons and army commander were still alive.
This was the very reason Jonathan and David swore that there should be no bad blood between the two, while they were both youth. But some things can never change. A fight is inevitable when one needs to make a claim to something of high value.
Jesus said that “since the time of John the Baptist the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence…”
Though God has promised that thing to you, sometimes you need to take it with some amount of effort. You’ve got to travail in prayer and make some declarations.
Sometimes your seriousness in prayer shows to what extent you really want that promise. You just have to put in a fight to make things right, not all of them come easy.
Spend some more time in prayer. PUSH!!!
Have a blessed day.
