MEMORIALS IN OUR HEARTS – Fri, Oct 03, 2014

memorial1 Samuel 7:12 KJV
Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Eben-ezer, saying, Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.

The first time I set foot on Mountain Afadjato, the highest point in Ghana, I was so excited that I felt I needed to do something to show I had been there before.

Pictures were not enough so I got a permanent marker and wrote in about three different places, “C Jay® was here.”

The excitement in the hearts of the Israelites at this stage of their lives when God returned to hear their cry was no joke. Finally they had gotten where they wanted to be with the Lord so their joy could not be hidden; they set up a memorial and called it EBENEZER

We usually do not fail to remember the little feats we accomplish in our lives but we fail to set up memorials when God takes us through situations. These monuments do not necessarily have to be physical ones, they could be set up in our hearts, so we can always remember that thus far has He brought us!

Have a blessed Friday.
