Judges 18:1 KJV
In those days there was no king in Israel: and in those days the tribe of the Danites sought them an inheritance to dwell in; for unto that day all their inheritance had not fallen unto them among the tribes of Israel.
In one reggae song I heard, either Bob Marley or Lucky Dube said that “In the abundance of water the fool is thirsty!”
I’m wondering how after so long a time that Israel moved to the promised land, there were still tribes that hadn’t possessed all their possessions as at this time.
Remember Moses is gone, Joshua is gone and a number of other Judges have come and gone. This must have been a really long wait.
But don’t misconstrue this for patience.
Cowardice and lack of zeal, personal drive and determination are by no means close to patience. They are not even related!
One must hit the roads if one desires to get to a certain destination.
Though God might have promised you the world, it won’t just come to you my dear. Of course there are exceptional cases but… those are EXCEPTIONS!!!
Why should you delay when you can be enjoying that blessing or inheritance now?
Work it out…work out what you believe…speak it, confess it and reach out for it. This is Faith.
Have a blessed Friday.
