NUMBER THEORY – Mon, Sep 08, 2014

numbersJudges 7:2 KJV
And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.

One time when I was still a student, I attended a prayer meeting somewhere on campus. The number that attended the meeting was not so encouraging but I believe God still used those who could make it.

After the prayer session the leader made a remark that I felt was very unfortunate for him to. He said he didn’t feel God was in the meeting that day because some specific people who could have charged up the place with spontaneous prayers were absent.

Gideon had an army of 32,000 reduced to just 300 by God so as to send a message down there: He alone takes credit for the job. I believe for God to use a cowardly person like Gideon, means that He is no respecter of persons and would likely not do what man expects logically.

It’s good to have the numbers, but I believe the numbers themselves are not what makes God glorified, but rather the individual hearts adorning Him with worship and praise. If just two people are ready to make a move for God in the entire congregation then so be it. God is more than capable to use just them for a Cause.

Sameway if you have just little in your hands to start a project, you better do. Bless the little you have and just begin. God has a record with working wonders with little.

Let us always remember that He is not man and His ways are different from ours.

Have a blessed week.
