HEROES – Thu, Sep 04, 2014

heroJudges 3:31 KJV
And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel.

My uncle used to take me to the Cinemas when I was very young, so I developed some good taste for Chinese movies, cuz that’s all we watched.

As I began to meditate on this verse, 3:31, I saw Shamgar as the hero (jack/blowman) in a Chinese movie, his brothers being Othniel and Ehud.
How could one man slay 600men in battle with just one sharp weapon, an ox goad?

He must really be a good fighter who knows Tai-Chi or has probably learnt secret jutsu.
I wish I was there to witness some of these feats in person. Obviously these couldn’t be possible without divine influence.

Shamgar, like all the others mentioned in this book of Judges, was brought into the scene by God to bring some relief to His children for some 96yrs.
Brace up urself, don’t lose hope yet, help is on it’s way.

Have a blessed day
