2 Corinthians 7:1 KJV

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

For the past few weeks, my radio happens to be on a dial on which one pastor by name, Prophet Kofi Oduro frequently does a live sermon. I’ve taken interest in listening to this man of Alabaster Ministries simply because of the content of his messages.

I could liken him to a John the Baptist whose sole aim was to prepare the hearts of his hearers through repentance. You should see the guilt I feel when I hear him iterate the fact that God will bring every single act of mine to judgement. I’m instantly convicted of my own sins and it feels so unpleasant to continue listening.

Paul the Apostle urged the people of Corinth to keep their souls and flesh free from filth… the filth of sin… and desire to walk in perfection and holiness in the fear of the LORD. Why???
Because of the promises ahead!

Messages of these nature do not abound these days, but God is more serious about them now than ever. Holiness is a MUST for us all, not a suggestion. Remember that without it, no man shall see God. Desire to be holy, seek righteousness and walk in the fear of the LORD, his promises are true.
