DEATH IS DEFEATED – Wed, Jul 15, 2020

1 Corinthians 15:54-55 KJV

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

[55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

We have a saying in local parlance that goes like this: “Killer bɛ wo last show,” which literally translates, “the villain dies at the end/climax of the movie/show.”

For most people, death has always been the ultimate end to any story, good or bad. When we recently lost a brother, I felt so much pain, even though I knew that wasn’t the end of the story. Paul the apostle, takes time to explain into detail that indeed the resurrection is indeed real (v12-58).

“Death is defeated” only when the mortal body (version 1.0) gives way to the soul and spirit (the real you) to move on to the next phase; which phase you might have decided already while on Earth. So that if you condemn your own soul in the second phase (I like to call this version 2.0), then death is not defeated for you and the saying can not be true in your case.

Fortunately version 2.0 can never be upgraded, but 1.0 can be upgraded as many times as possible, to 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc.
Make the statement “Death is defeated” happen for you by improving 1.0 to the best version of you ever, so together we can all sing aloud, 🎼 oh death, where is your victory🎼 when we meet our King.

Have a blessed day.
