Psalm 135:4,6 KJV
For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.
[6] Whatsoever the Lord pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
I think some verses in the bible sound better and perhaps carry more weight in our local dialects than in the English language.
One such verse is what we read in verses 4 and 6 today of Psalm 135… in the Twi language especially.
God does what He pleases, and this doesn’t suggest that He abuses His subjects, but rather chooses to love even those who probably may not deserve to be loved.
No wonder you and I who are not biologically of the stock of Israel, nor have any lineage whatsoever with them have still been grafted-in and by adoption can still be referred to as sons of God 😊. Isn’t this wonderful?
God needs no one’s permission to do what He wants to do. He doesn’t need anyone’s approval to bless you. Enjoy what He gives you today without any feeling of guilt whether people think you deserve it or not. He is God and does what pleases Him.
Have a blessed day.
