Psalm 12:5 KJV
For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord ; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
Back in the days, GTV showed the Series of a young Japanese girl called Oshin. In almost every episode, this little Jap went through very tough times, as if she was the problem with the world. She faced much hostility and resentment from almost everyone around her.
Yet, by some divine hand, things would turn out for good for her in the end.
All throughout scripture, God has a soft spot for a certain classes of people: orphans, widows, the oppressed and strangers.
According to David in today’s Psalm, “Thus saith the Lord, I will arise for the oppression of the poor and the sighing of the needy.”
So for people in such positions, even before they cry out to God, He’s already set out to deliver them, and act on their behalf.
Not all who are oppressed end up well like Oshin. One thing that is certain is that, God saw everything and will recompense in due time. Be careful how you treat others, you may just be setting yourself up for something bigger than you can handle.
Have a blessed day.
