Job 13:20-22 KJV
Only do not two things unto me: then will I not hide myself from thee.
[21] Withdraw thine hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.
[22] Then call thou, and I will answer: or let me speak, and answer thou me.
About 15years ago a friend lost his sister, Mansa, under very strange circumstances. Her illness was never diagnosed. She suffered a great deal before finally passing away. Yet before her death, Mansa was relentless in her service to God and her church.
When I went to visit my friend to console him a bit, he passed a comment that resonates with what Job too wanted. My friend wanted a hearing from God. He desired a minute with God to seek answers to a few questions, because to him, things didn’t add up.
In our darkest moments it is very easy to desire a hearing, at least, from God. You may have reached those moments at some point in your life, when you honestly thought it didn’t make sense at all. Challenging and unbelievable as it may have been, I suggest to you that God never checked out.
Chances are that you may not get a hearing with Him, neither would He reveal the reasons on a screen for you to view and understand vividly. But you can be certain that when all is said and done, you’d appreciate that it was all for your own good.
Have a blessed day.
