Joshua 11:18-19 KJV
Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.
[19] There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites the inhabitants of Gibeon: all other they took in battle.
Is warfare good?
Sometimes I ask myself many questions when I read about the conquests of the great heroes mentioned in scripture. Typical of this stock was Joshua and David, who fought and won many battles and wars.
Why didn’t most of their enemies settle for peace, seeing the accomplishments of these warriors? We are told God hardened their hearts so He can prove His might. (v19)
The wars we fight today are different in nature but same in essence.
Our battles and wars are spiritual and even more sophisticated. So that you need to be a Joshua and fight these battles on a daily basis. You ignore them at your detriment because they surely manifest in the physical.
Gear up and be ready at all times.
Have a blessed day.
