For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;

One wise man said that the only condition necessary for evil to thrive is for good men to sit and do nothing. I do not only agree but also think some good people talk more about the problems than they do anything about it.

Isaiah sought to address an issue that had been plaguing the minds of his people, and still does now. “why doesn’t God answer or heed to our prayers?” God’s ears aren’t too dull to hear nor His hands too short to save, (v1,2) Isaiah immediately responds.

If indeed the reason for unanswered prayers is sin, then we should be more concerned about praying about the sins than talking about them. This is a clear sign of the lack of intercessors (v16) which only compounds the problem.

Each of us have been called to intercede for our families so sins would be overturned and as a result prayers could be answered. God desires intercessors and not ‘talkers.’ Pray more and talk less, the prayers of your family need answers.
