Isaiah 18:1 KJV
Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:
I watched an American movie some years ago whose title I cannot remember. In that movie, the main character had served in the army for a good number of years and was asked to return home to a new schedule.
This new schedule was easier, he thought. He didn’t need to fight Afghan rebels or Iraqi militants anymore. He just had to deliver news of fallen soldiers to their families.
After doing his new schedule for just 2months, he opted to go back to the battle field!!! He just couldn’t do this “easier” job. He couldn’t stand the pain and emotional traumas that came from the reactions of families he delivered bad news to.
This was Isaiah’s major pre-occupation. Much as he hated it, he had to do it, why… because God said so. What’s He asking you to do? What God may be asking you to do today may be very hard, but you’ve just got to do it. Just do it!!!
Have a blessed day.
