Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.
[21] They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
Part two of the book of Psalms end with a summary of Israel’s walk with God after their deliverance from bondage.
It makes interesting reading how a latter generation can blame an older generation for not adhering to God’s statutes and principles, and yet would repeat the same thing. The blame game is indeed an old one!
Forgetting about unimportant bits in our lives comes naturally to everyone, but the memorable events never seem to leave us even when we age. This is where God wants us to put Him….where we never forget.
Because the Jews failed to remember Him, their glory was likened to that of an ox that feeds on grass. How pathetic!
My prayer is that you REMEMBER God everyday and put him in the important segments of your thoughts each day because your glory is in Him.
