Job 14:7-9 KJV
For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
[8] Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;
[9] Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
Job 14:7 is one of my favourite scriptures. I kept it for a whatsapp status for a long while. I could not help but read it again and again this morning. Job expressed deep faith in God by these words.
Faith, Hope and Love are three key building blocks for every believer. Hope is that one thing that keeps you going even when your faith fails. In his condition, Job is able to liken his hope to that of a tree that is cut down…almost dead. Just the scent of water is all it needs.
Your situation becomes helpless only when you lose Hope. Just like Love, Hope does not fail. It spurs us on in our darkest moments and promises life in dead situations.
Indeed “though the root may wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground…at the scent of water, it will bud and bring forth boughs…”
I speak Hope into your situation in Jesus name.
Have a blessed day.
