ASKING THE NECESSARY – Tue, Feb 03, 2015

necessary2 Chronicles 1:11 KJV
And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

We all know the story of Solomon and how he asked for wisdom and understanding instead of riches and wealth and all that you and I would have asked for if we were given such a blank cheque.

What some people don’t know is how much of a role David played in ensuring that Solomon started on the right note and was hitting the right keys.

David did about 70% of the work in my opinion, stocking much of the resources Solomon would need and  even advising his son to seek wisdom from God above all things. So it is not so strange Solomon made such a request to God.

In 2 Chr 1:12, God even gives more than Solomon asked. Moral lesson is once you ask the right thing you attract the other right things. But only one thing is right at a time. Read Matt 6:33 and know what that right thing is and desire it so the others may come to you naturally.

Have a blessed day.
