2 Kings 9:22
And when Joram saw Jehu, he said, “Is it peace, Jehu?” He answered, “What peace can there be, so long as the whorings and the sorceries of your mother Jezebel are so many?”

Jehu was the son of Jeshophat, King of Judah, and he had witnessed most of the dealings of Ahab and Jezebel.
We are never told of his displeasure of what the royal couple did, until now.

God gave him a task to wipe out the family of Ahab and he did.
Holy cleansing, or whatever you call it, was seen in those days as God’s own way of dealing with evil and wayward families.

Note one thing that the Spirit of Peace never settles in any life that continues to reward self at the detriment of others. You may be doing well financially but be totally bereft of peace.
Ahab and Jezebel took the field from Nabboth, but today it is their son who suffers for it.

Take time today to read Romans 3:16-18.
No sin goes unpunished, until it is paid for, peace will always be far away.
