IS HE FRUSTRATED WITH US? – Thu, Aug 29, 2019

Jeremiah 14:11-12 KJV

Then said the Lord unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.

[12] When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

Back in the days I used to think God got fed up with me a good number of times. I’d confess a sin and promise myself and God I wasn’t going to go back to them, only for me to return to my vomit, sometimes in the same week. 😔

I must confess such thoughts made me feel like giving up entirely on the practice of confessing my sins. But those were my days as a young Christian. The Word of God has enlightened my understanding enough, to keep me from such dangerous thoughts as not to confess.

In Jeremiah’s days God actually got frustrated with the people at a point, and wouldn’t hear their prayers anymore, for idolatrous reasons. But even in those days, He still offered love eventually.

Don’t be fooled by anyone, we live in a time of grace. This doesn’t mean we now have the license to fool about, but it certainly means no matter how guilty you feel, can still go back to the Father and tap into His immeasurable love. He does not get frustrated! He knows you are really dirty, but He still wants you to come.
Let’s approach the throne of grace with boldness and exchange what we wear for some fine linen.

Have a blessed day.
