Joshua 9:26-27 KJV
And so did he unto them, and delivered them out of the hand of the children of Israel, that they slew them not.
And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the Lord , even unto this day, in the place which he should choose.
If you can’t beat them them, what do you do? You join them.
This was the approach of one community of people called the Gibeonites.
Both their militia and artillery were nothing to write home about. They had no confidence in their ammunitions, against the stories they had heard about the approaching Jews. Death was lurking. What do they do?
They devised a strategy, though deceptive, which gave them the results they badly needed.
Everyone one of us knows our strengths and abilities. Sometimes, it is not a wise thing to punch above your weight and expect a miracle. You should be able to assess your own strengths.
Where there is an opportunity to join a bigger and stronger team, just so you can learn and improve your own abilities, please take it. It may be your last straw on the path you have chosen. May the spirit of God bring you Wisdom to know when to join and not fight.
Have a blessed day.
